The lobe pump is a volumetric type pump. CME has developed a line with helical rubber lobes, which is characterized by having a wide field of application and extreme simplicity of use.
They are used by our customers for the pumping of liquids, transfer and filling of tanks or barriques. They are also used for pumping dense products, for example for pomace.
Our lobe pumps have excellent self-priming power: we have verified in our test bench that they are able to suck at a depth of about 8 meters.
CME pumps have a particularly constant flow at the output. This feature allows them to be used in modulation mode both by the flow rate and by the pressure. In constant flow mode, the pump knows that it must stop after a certain amount of fluid pumped. This is a very important feature for filling tanks or barriques. Furthermore, as regards the possibility of modulation by pressure, inside the tanks, we can set the pressure value and then the pump will modulate its speed in order to maintain the required pressure value.
The pump can also be equipped with shut-off valves, which intercept the machine after pumping operations. Everything is managed by inverter of latest generation.
Thanks to the helical lobes, the product is treated in a gentle way, decreasing its oxygenation. Maintenance and sanitization of the machine is extremely simple: in a few minutes, the lobes can be extracted and the pumping chamber can be accessed.
The radio remote control as standard, the compact dimensions and the extremely low noise make the CME lobe pumps ideal for any winery.
The CME range includes 4 types of lobe pumps, ranging from 250 to 700 quintals / hour, for a maximum pressure of about 4 bar. We are available to study tailor made machines to comply our customer needs.
